Free Construction Excel Templates for Indian Sites
Four Excel formats that site engineers, contractors and interior firms ask for most. Every file is a real .xlsx with working formulas, no sign-up and no email needed. Download, rename and start using it on site today.
DPR format (Daily Progress Report)
One A4 sheet with nine sections: project details, manpower planned against present, work done, material received and consumed, progress against plan, issues, tomorrow’s plan, photos and sign-off. Shortfall above 15% and issues open more than 7 days turn red on their own.
BOQ format (Bill of Quantities)
Seven columns, ten standard sections from earthwork to external works, automatic amounts, section sub-totals, GST and grand total. A second sheet holds rate analysis blocks with wastage, overhead and profit so every unit rate can be explained.
Labour attendance sheet (hajiri register)
Monthly muster for 40 workers. Mark P, H, A or L for each day. The sheet counts present days, half days and absents, adds overtime, subtracts advance and shows the net amount payable for each worker.
Material stock register
List your materials once, then enter every receipt and issue as one row. Received, issued and balance quantities update on their own, and any item at or below its minimum level is marked for reorder.
How to use these templates
- Keep one master copy. Save the downloaded file as a master and make a copy for each site or each month. Never fill the master.
- Name files the same way every time. For example DPR_SiteName_2026-10-10.xlsx. Six months later this is the only way you will find anything.
- Do not type over formula cells. Amounts, totals, balances and wages are calculated. If a number looks wrong, fix the quantity, rate or entry behind it.
- Fix a daily deadline. A DPR or stock entry filled the next morning is a guess. Fill it before leaving site.
When Excel stops being enough
Excel works well for one site with a disciplined site engineer. It starts to hurt when you run three or more sites, because every sheet lives on a different phone, nobody can see today’s numbers without calling someone, and attendance, material and payments sit in separate files that never agree with each other.
That is the gap Trackovo fills. The same information goes in from the phone on site: attendance with photo and location, material requests, receipts and issues, daily progress and payments. The owner sees every site in one place. If the templates are working for you, keep using them. When they stop working, try Trackovo free for 14 days.
Common questions
Are these templates really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no email form and no watermark. You can edit them, print them and share them with your team or your contractors.
Will they open on a phone?
Yes. They open in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and WPS Office on Android and iPhone. The dropdowns and formulas work in all three.
Can I change the trades, materials or BOQ items?
Yes. The sample trades, materials and BOQ lines are only examples. Type over them with your own. Keep the formula columns as they are.
Which units do the templates use?
Standard Indian site units: cum, sqm, rmt, kg, no., bag and MT. Amounts are in rupees.
