Trackovo vs Dzylo for Interior Firms: Site Execution vs Design-Side Tools

If you run an interior firm in India, your work has two halves. One half happens at the office: client meetings, design, 3D views, quotations, and follow-ups. The other half happens on site: carpenters and mistri reporting for work, plywood and laminate arriving, payments going out to contractors, and daily progress to report to the client. Most software comparison articles mix these two halves together. This one keeps them separate, because Trackovo is built for the site side; where Dzylo focuses, check its own website.

What Dzylo is and what this article covers

Dzylo is a construction and interior management app used by Indian contractors and interior firms. It is a general, safe description, and it is the only one we will give here. We will not state its prices, plan names, feature lists, ratings or user counts. If you need those details, check Dzylo’s own website or ask them for a written quote with your requirements spelled out. The same advice applies to any tool you evaluate, including Trackovo: get the full picture in writing before you pay.

The two halves of an interior project

The design and client side

This is where the firm wins work and designs it. Client leads and follow-ups, mood boards, 2D drawings, 3D views, material selection with the client, BOQ and quotation, revisions, and approvals. The people involved are designers, sales staff, and the client. Tools built for this side usually focus on drawings, presentations, lead tracking and quotations.

The site execution side

This is where the firm delivers the work. It includes:

  • Labour attendance – carpenters, helpers, polish mistri – recorded daily, ideally with photo and site location.
  • Material – raising an indent, getting approval, placing orders with the vendor, recording receipt at site, and tracking stock of plywood, hardware, laminate and consumables.
  • Payments – site kharcha, contractor settlements, labour wages, and project-wise expense tracking so you know if a flat is actually making margin.
  • Daily progress – what work happened today, with photos, so the client update is honest and quick.
  • Vendors, machines and tools – who supplied what, which tools are at which site.

An interior firm owner usually feels pain on this side. The office runs on design software and WhatsApp, but the site runs on phone calls, the munshi’s diary, and paper hajiri. Site execution is what Trackovo is built for. You can read more in our features overview and our guide to site management software for construction.

What Trackovo covers, and what it does not

Stop juggling WhatsApp groups, Excel sheets, and paper registers

Trackovo runs every part of your construction site in one app — materials, attendance, finance, vendor payments. 14-day free trial. No card needed.

Trackovo is one app on Android, iPhone and web. It covers:

  • Material requests, approvals, orders, receipts and stock, with delivery (GRN) recorded with photo proof. See material management.
  • Labour attendance with photo and site location, plus labour wages and contractor settlement. See attendance and salary and labour management.
  • Site-wise payments and expenses, vendors, tasks and daily progress.
  • Measurement book, machines and tools, and client updates. See daily progress reporting.
  • GST and TDS handling, and a Tally export (not a live Tally integration).

Now the honest part. Trackovo does not do design work. There are no 2D or 3D design tools, no renderings, no mood boards. Trackovo also does not have a CRM, so lead tracking and client follow-up pipelines are not covered. It does not work offline, so sites with no network will be a problem. It does not support biometric hardware or face recognition for attendance; attendance is marked in the app with photo and location. If your main problem is design output or lead management, Trackovo is not the answer. If your main problem is that sites slip, material leaks, and contractor bills are a monthly fight, it is aimed at you.

Eight questions an interior firm should ask any tool

  1. Does it handle labour hajiri with photo and site location, so the same carpenter is not marked on two sites? Our hajiri app guide explains what to look for.
  2. Can material indents, approvals, orders and receipts be traced end to end? Check our material indent format for what a proper indent looks like.
  3. How are GRN and delivery proof recorded? A challan without photo proof causes disputes.
  4. Does it compute labour wages and contractor settlements, or only record attendance?
  5. Can you see site-wise expenses and payments, so each flat’s real cost is known? See finance management.
  6. Does it give a daily progress log with photos that you can forward to the client?
  7. Does it export to your accounting system, such as Tally, and handle GST and TDS? Ask whether the export is live or a file export.
  8. How many paid users do you need, and are labour and site staff free or charged? Ask each vendor this in writing.

If you are comparing several apps, our wider comparison of construction management software in India and labour attendance apps may help. We also have comparisons such as Trackovo vs Powerplay and Trackovo vs Onsite.

A trial plan on one flat or office fit-out

The best way to judge any tool is a live project, not a demo room. Pick one flat or one office fit-out, about six to ten weeks of work, and run it fully in the app for four weeks. Here is a simple plan:

  • Week 1: Put in the vendor list and opening stock. Trackovo’s team helps import data from Excel, so start from your current sheets. If you keep manual registers today, our Excel templates, stock register format and site expense register format show the data you should move.
  • Week 1 onwards: Mark attendance daily with photo. Move to digital hajiri fully; no parallel paper register, or you will never know if the app works.
  • Week 2: Route all material through indents and approvals, including small kharcha items. Record GRN with photos at delivery.
  • Week 3: Enter the measurement book entries and run one contractor settlement in the app. Compare the app’s figure with your manual calc.
  • Week 4: Send the client update from the app for the whole week and review the project’s expense and payment view. Check a Tally export with your accountant.

At the end, ask three questions. Did site delay reduce? Can you state the flat’s cost to date without calling the munshi? Did contractor bill disputes drop? If yes, scale it. Trackovo has a 14-day free trial with no card needed, and you can see plans and pricing or take a WhatsApp demo. There is also a full demo if you want to walk through modules first. Launch-offer prices run till 31 March 2027, and labour, contractors and staff log in free and unlimited on every plan – only office and site roles count as users, so ask any competitor the same question about their per-user rules.

When an interior firm may want two tools

Many interior firms use one tool for the design and client side and one for site execution. That is a fair arrangement, not a failure. If your designers already work in a design tool they like, keep it there and run execution in Trackovo. What you should avoid is running execution in two places – one half on WhatsApp and one half in an app. That is where data gets lost and bills get disputed. If a design-side tool claims it also handles execution, test it with the trial plan above on a real flat before you commit. Also check how the two tools share data: at minimum, your BOQ should move into your execution tool. Our BOQ software page and BOQ Excel guide for Indian contractors explain what a clean BOQ looks like, and our DPR format template shows the daily reporting fields any tool should cover. For broader ERP needs, see our page on construction ERP software in India; for vendor and transport tracking, see vendor management and transport management. To estimate labour cost before you commit to any app, try our labour cost calculator from the calculators section. Reporting needs are covered under reports and dashboards, and the wider category is construction project management apps in India.

Common questions

Does Trackovo do 3D design or drawings for interior projects?

No. Trackovo has no design or 3D tools. It covers site execution: material, labour attendance and wages, payments, expenses, measurement book, tasks, daily progress and client updates. If you need design output, use a design tool and run execution in Trackovo. Many firms work this way with two tools, one for each half of the project.

Can Trackovo track client leads and follow-ups?

No. Trackovo does not have a CRM. Lead tracking, sales pipelines and enquiry follow-up are not part of the app. Trackovo does send client updates on project progress, which is about delivery, not sales. If lead management is your bigger problem right now, look at a CRM first and add an execution tool later.

Does Trackovo work on site without internet?

No, we do not claim offline working. Trackovo runs on Android, iPhone and web and needs a network connection. If your site has poor connectivity, test the app on that site during the 14-day free trial before paying. This is an honest limitation, and it is better to know it early than after purchase.

How do Trackovo and Dzylo differ, in plain terms?

Dzylo is a construction and interior management app used by Indian contractors and interior firms; for its prices, plans and exact features you should check Dzylo’s own website or ask for a written quote. Trackovo is focused on site execution: attendance with photo and site location, material from indent to stock, wages and contractor settlement, site-wise payments and expenses, measurement book, and daily progress. It does not do design, 3D, CRM, biometric attendance, offline working or live Tally integration, though it does export to Tally and handles GST and TDS. Run the one-flat trial plan above on both tools and pick with your own data.
