How Indian Builders Use Trackovo on Real Sites
This is not a marketing reel. This is what the day looks like on a Tier 2 construction site once your team is actually using Trackovo — the specific screens, the real decisions, and the problems that finally stop being problems.
From the 7 AM gate count to the 8 PM reconciliation
Construction happens in small moments — attendance, a material crisis, an advance request, a contractor dispute. Here is how a Trackovo-enabled site handles each of them without drama.
Attendance without the register book
Labour and contractors start arriving between 6:30 and 7:30 AM. Instead of a paper register, each contractor opens the Attendance module, punches their crew in with GPS, and the No-GPS fallback handles sites where signal is weak. Offline punches queue locally and sync when a bar of 4G returns. The site engineer never has to chase anyone, and the office has a live count by mid-morning.
One request, one approval trail
The foreman realises the plaster sand is done and block work is about to stall. Instead of a phone call nobody remembers, the site team raises a request in Material Management with a photo of the stock register. The request flows into the Approvals tab for the purchase manager, who approves, rejects with a note, or asks for a quantity change. Every step is time-stamped and visible to both sides.
The office sees the same numbers
The owner opens Trackovo on their phone and sees the admin dashboard: live punched-in counts from GPS Live Tracking, pending material approvals, yesterday’s daily payment totals by site, and a category-wise expense breakdown. No phone call to the PM, no Excel sheet waiting for the evening. The owner becomes the final word instead of the first responder.
Labour accounts that actually match
The site engineer and contractor sit down to reconcile. The contractor’s ledger, daily payments, advances, and bulk payments are visible on both phones with the same numbers. A ₹500 advance paid at 11 AM is already logged. Disputes are resolved with evidence, not shouting, and the month-end close becomes a formality instead of a fight.
Every module your site actually needs
Trackovo is not a feature checklist padded to impress. Each module below is used every day on active sites across India.
Attendance
GPS punch-in, No-GPS fallback, offline queue, monthly calendar, and admin correction flow.
Material Management
Five tabs — List, Approvals, Deliveries, Inventory, Machines & Tools — with photo-proof workflow.
Labour Accounts
Labour ledger, contractor ledger, advances, bulk payments, GST billing, category-wise breakdowns.
Measurement Book
Multi-group entry sessions, shared dimensions per group, MB sheets, and reusable templates.
Daily Planning
Calendar, site-wise and labour-wise tabs, labour count and chowkidar count chips per day.
GPS Live Tracking
Real-time map with punch markers, All/Staff/Labour/Rider filter tabs, and View Trail per worker.
The single feature that most Tier 2 and Tier 3 builders mention when they compare Trackovo to web-first competitors is that it keeps working when the site has no internet at all.
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions builders, PMs, and contractors ask us most often before going live on their first site.
Do I need separate logins for office staff, contractors, and labour?
Trackovo supports Labour, Contractor, Rider, Staff, Site Engineer, Project Manager, Purchase Manager, and Admin as distinct roles. Each role gets a filtered view of the app with the right permissions. Contractors and vendors can have their own portal logins without seeing your internal data.
How long does it take to roll Trackovo out on an active site?
Most teams are live on attendance and material requests within one or two days. Accounts and daily planning usually take another week as the PM learns the approval flow and categories. Full adoption across a company with three or four sites typically stabilises by the end of the first month.
What happens to data if a worker’s phone breaks or is replaced?
All entries sync to the cloud once the phone reconnects. A new phone logging into the same account gets the complete history back. Unsynced offline entries from a lost phone are the only risk, which is why most sites use the contractor’s phone for attendance rather than individual labour devices.
Is Trackovo available in regional languages?
The interface uses a Hinglish UX — English labels with plain-language structure that most Indian site teams can read. Hindi and Marathi layers are in testing with beta customers, and a language toggle will ship once translations are validated on live sites without breaking layout on low-end Android devices.
