What Sharjah contractors juggle every week
Sharjah contracting companies work across a wide mix of jobs: fit-out packages in retail and office buildings, villa construction in the residential areas, and steel or concrete industrial sheds and warehouses in the industrial zones. Many firms run an office in Sharjah while their sites sit in Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman at the same time. The work is rarely the problem. The problem is that material, labour and payment records for each job end up in separate Excel files, WhatsApp chats and paper notebooks, and nobody can see the true position of any site without making phone calls. Materials from indent to GRN photo
A site engineer raises a material request (indent) on the phone, the purchase manager approves it and issues a purchase order, and the site records goods received with a photo as proof (GRN). A site stock ledger and store-to-site transfers keep track of what is where.
Subcontractor running bills and advances
Record advances paid to subcontractors and settle their bills against the work actually done and the attendance actually recorded. Every payment sits against a site, so you can see what you have paid each contractor across the year.
Site-wise expenses and petty cash
Petty cash, site payments, vendor bills and dues are all recorded site by site. Instead of a shoebox of receipts and a month-end scramble, the cost position of each project is visible while the job is still running.
Invoices with a VAT 5% tax row
UAE VAT is 5 percent and has applied since 1 January 2018. Trackovo’s proforma and sales invoices let you set up a tax row with a name, a percent rate and an inclusive or exclusive flag — so a “VAT 5%” row works. Each party record has a tax ID field where a TRN fits, and VAT invoices need the supplier’s TRN. The interface is English only; there is no Arabic-language version.
Warehouses and industrial sheds: progress against the BOQ
Industrial shed and warehouse work in Sharjah is usually priced against a bill of quantities — earthwork, foundations, columns, steel structure, cladding, wiring, finishing. The money question is always the same: how much of each BOQ line is done, and what can be billed for it? Trackovo answers that directly. Import your BOQ from Excel, then record progress against each BOQ line as the work happens. The measurement book module holds your recorded measurements, and when a line changes scope you raise a variation on that line instead of editing history.
The same applies to fit-out and villa jobs. Whether your BOQ has forty lines or four hundred, each line carries its own quantity, rate, progress and billed amount. When it is time to prepare a running account bill, the numbers come from the record, not from a weekend of spreadsheet reconciliation. One office, sites in three emirates
A common Sharjah setup: the office and stores are in Sharjah, one fit-out is running in Dubai, a villa package is in Sharjah and a shed job is in Ajman. The office staff work on the web app, the site engineers work on their phones, and both see the same record at the same time. A material request raised in Ajman reaches the purchase manager in the Sharjah office in the app, with the approval and purchase order handled in the app rather than over calls.
There is also a client login. If your client wants progress updates on their project, they can log in and see progress recorded against the BOQ, daily reports with photos, and snag lists being closed — without being part of your internal chats. Daily progress reports, a site diary, snag or defect lists with photos, and a machines and tools register round out the site record.

What Trackovo does not do
We would rather tell you the limits now than have you find them in month three. These are the things we are often asked about and do not have:
- No offline mode — a network connection is needed to record entries on site
- No biometric or face-recognition attendance — proof is photo plus GPS location
- No WPS or SIF payroll file generation — the Wages Protection System is the UAE’s electronic salary-transfer system, and Trackovo does not file to it; it gives you the attendance and wage record behind each payment
- No live accounting integration — there is an export file for Tally; for UAE accounting packages, export your data and import it
- No Arabic-language interface — English only
- No labour camp or accommodation management, and no tender or e-procurement module
- No construction CRM or lead pipeline, and no design or 3D tools

Starting in Sharjah
Trackovo is built in India and used daily by contractors there; we are now offering it in the UAE. Because our UAE operation is new, support is founder-led. You talk to the people who build the product, on WhatsApp and phone (+91 95825 81238) and email (prashant@trackovo.app). That has a practical benefit: when you ask for something, the answer comes from someone who can change the software.
The usual way to start is to pick one live site — one villa or one warehouse job — and run the 14-day free trial on it. Sign-in is by mobile number with a one-time code, and the sign-in screen has a country-code picker, so UAE numbers work. The app is listed on the UAE Google Play Store and the UAE App Store. If your material registers, BOQ files and labour records are currently in Excel, the team helps import them so you are not starting from zero. You can request an export of your data at any time.

Frequently asked questions
Which currency does the app show?
Outside invoices, amounts in the app are currently displayed with the Indian rupee symbol and Indian number grouping (lakh and crore). Invoice currency can be set to AED, since it is a per-invoice setting. Dirham display across the whole app is not available today; it is something we can discuss on the demo call, and we do not want to promise it or give you a date we are not sure of. If rupee display in internal records is a problem for your team, raise it on the call before you subscribe.
How is Trackovo priced for UAE companies?
Pricing for UAE companies is confirmed on the demo call. The price is per company, not per user: labour, contractors and site staff log in free and unlimited, and only office roles (admin, project manager, purchase manager, site engineer, accountant) count as users. The public India price list at /plans/ shows the structure — Starter, Growth and Scale, monthly or yearly, with every module in every plan. There is a 14-day free trial and no card is needed to start it.
Can I keep sites in Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman under one account?
Yes. Trackovo is one company account with projects for each site, wherever the site is located. Many Sharjah firms run jobs in more than one emirate at once, and the reports and dashboards combine all of them. Attendance is captured with photo and GPS location, so you can see which site an entry was made at, not just who made it.
Does Trackovo support UAE VAT at 5%?
You can set up a tax row on proforma and sales invoices with the name “VAT 5%”, a percent rate, and an inclusive or exclusive flag. Each party record has a tax ID field where a TRN fits, plus a flag for whether tax applies — and VAT invoices need the supplier’s TRN. We do not file VAT returns and we do not claim any approval from the tax authority; Trackovo prepares the invoice record, and your accountant handles filing.
Can subcontractors log in themselves?
Yes. Labour, contractors and site staff log in free and without a user limit. A subcontractor can mark attendance for his gang with photo and GPS, and the office records advances, running bills and settlements against that record. Only office roles count toward the paid users on your plan.
Is the app available in Arabic?
No. The interface is English only, and we do not have an Arabic-language version. Many site teams in the UAE work in English on a daily basis, but if Arabic screens are a firm requirement for your company, Trackovo is not the right fit today. You are welcome to raise it on the demo call so we can be clear about what exists.
Does it work without internet on site?
No. Trackovo does not have an offline mode, and a network connection is needed to record entries. In practice, mobile data works on most sites in Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman, but if your sites are in spots with no signal, entries can only be made once the person is back in coverage. We prefer to say this plainly rather than oversell.
